Our research
NFRF Recovery BRIDGE team is conducting research on the impact of government economic programs and policies on business survival and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Operating across 15 distinct case study areas globally, member researchers aim to identify programs and policies that supported businesses recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Exploring the reasons for program effectiveness across case cities will allow us to understand how recovery programs can better facilitate business adaptation and recovery from future shocks including natural hazard events. Our research is committed to offering insights and actionable guidance for business recovery and policy formulation, serving as a resource for businesses and government officials around the world.
Our research receives funding from the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council’s New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRFR-2022-00514). In 2022, the NFRF issued special funding for research which responded to the United Nations Research Roadmap for COVID-19 Recovery.
