Juri Kim
Juri Kim is a PhD candidate in the School of Community and Regional Planning (SCARP) at the University of British Columbia. Her PhD research delves into the uneven economic recovery in Vancouver neighbourhoods post-COVID-19, focusing on analyzing intra-urban disparities, identifying barriers and facilitators, and exploring neighbourhood-level impacts on economic recovery. Her work is supported by the SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship and additionally benefits from the SSHRC NFRF (BRIDGE project), led by her academic supervisor Dr. Stephanie Chang. She received her BS in Urban and Environmental Engineering from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, Korea, and MCP in Environmental Management from Seoul National University, Korea.
On the BRIDGE project, Juri is working on the Vancouver, Calgary, and Seoul case studies.
